The modular classrooms at Cheongju Naegok Elementary School were introduced to alleviate overcrowded classes caused by the increasing school-age population in Cheongju Technopolis. New modular classrooms have been built next to the existing school building, and the modular school and the existing school are connected by a skybridge.

The Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education initially estimated a budget of 15 billion KRW for the creation of 27 new classes, but by deciding to implement modular classrooms, they were able to reduce the budget by half (6.7 billion KRW). Additionally, the construction period was significantly reduced from the originally expected three years to three months.

The modular classrooms at Cheongju Naegok Elementary School have secured structural stability in accordance with the 'Rules on Standards for Building Structures,' ensuring the safety of school facilities. Direct stairs are installed within 30 meters of walking distance from the classrooms to facilitate easy evacuation. In addition to using safety glass for the doors, ramps have been installed in the evacuation routes leading outside from the evacuation floor.
